Manjushri Statue: Bodhisattva of Wisdom, Tibet, 20th Century

This Rupa is made of copper with small stones of coral and turquoise.

A disciple of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni, he represents wisdom, intelligence and realization.

He is present in many Mahayana sutras, particularly the Prajnaparamita. His consort (not present here) is Sarasvati the Goddess of audible arts.
